Privacy Policy
How Dimple collects, uses, protects and shares your information — including child photos and personalization details — when you use dimpleit.com.
Last updated: June 2026
Dimple ("Dimple", "we", "us", "our") operates the website dimpleit.com and creates personalized stickers, storybooks, school name slips and related keepsakes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information so we can create and deliver your personalized products:
- Account & contact details: name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
- Personalization content: the child's photo, name, class, section, roll number, school name, birth month, age and any text or details you provide for a product.
- Order & transaction details: items ordered, options selected, order value, coupons used and order status. Card and UPI details are processed by our payment partner and are not stored by us.
- Technical & usage data: device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed and basic analytics, collected to keep the site secure and working.
2. Children's photos & data
Dimple products are created for and about children, but our service is intended to be used by adults aged 18 or over — a parent, legal guardian, or an adult with the parent or guardian's permission.
- You must confirm, at the time of upload, that you are at least 18 and have obtained the consent of the child's parent or guardian to share the photo and details for personalization.
- Child photos and details are used only to generate your preview and produce your approved order. We do not use children's photos for advertising or marketing, and we do not sell them.
- If you believe a child's information has been shared with us without proper authorization, contact us at support@dimpleit.com, dimpleeit@gmail.com and we will delete it.
3. How we use information
- To create previews and produce your personalized products.
- To process orders, payments, delivery and returns.
- To provide customer support and respond to your queries.
- To send order and delivery updates, and (where you opt in) offers.
- To prevent fraud, keep the website secure and meet legal obligations.
4. Consent & legal basis
We process personalization content on the basis of the consent you provide when you upload a photo and tick the consent confirmation. You can withdraw consent at any time before production by contacting us; withdrawing consent after an approved order has gone to production may not be possible.
5. Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate — printing & production partners, courier/logistics partners, hosting, and payment processors — under confidentiality obligations and only for the purposes above.
- Legal & safety recipients, where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Dimple, our customers or the public.
6. Payments
Payments are handled by secure third-party payment gateways. Dimple does not store your full card number, CVV or UPI credentials. Please review your payment provider's own privacy terms.
7. Data retention
We keep personalization content and order records only for as long as needed to fulfil your order, provide support, and meet tax and legal requirements. You may request earlier deletion of your child's photo and personalization details by contacting us, subject to records we must retain by law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and restricted handling of child photos — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and review our practices regularly.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing. To make a request, email support@dimpleit.com, dimpleeit@gmail.com from the email used for your order. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to remember your cart, keep you signed in, and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality such as the cart.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
12. Contact us
For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@dimpleit.com, dimpleeit@gmail.com. We aim to respond within a reasonable time.
